goodbye laptop

We have had our share of computer mis-haps for sure! A certain little 2 year old who resides here decided to dump an entire bottle of liquid make up remover on our computer (which had the new hard drive in it). So RIP Mac laptop.
God knew this would happen - it was no surprise to Him.
I have this verse written on a 3x5 card over my sink which i've been going over. It's a good one:
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you . Yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10.
I'm taking courage that even though we lost the most valuable item we own (other than my wedding ring), and something Levi uses everyday to get through school, God will take care of us and provide.
Haha, i just realized it would have been better financially if our car would've been stolen. It's worth less than the laptop!

  1. Sarah and Levi!
I am so sorry to hear that. On one hand it's only an electronic but I also know how important it is, especially for Levi with school. We've had our share of electronic mishaps this semester that just leave me cringing and frustrated and it was good for me to read your perspective. God know this stuff and he's not trying to break our backs with "just one more straw" of difficulty. Thanks for sharing. I'm praying and excited to see how he continues to provide for you guys!

  2. ohhh very very stinky indeed. something about losing that laptop is so hard to endure. when mine was stolen, my heart broke. and then we got over it. but definitely a big bummer. you're so right to remind us all that these "light afflictions" do not take him by surprise... xo
