We found this awesome park about 20 mins from our house. The playground is on an island and has little houses with playgrounds built inside. The kids loved it!Love Phoebe's expression! Our computer crashed a few days ago! Our hard drive has been replaced but as of now, we have lost all our pictures (from our wedding, Phoebe's birth/life, Max's birth/first year - all of them!) Last month my cousin, Kendra came to visit us from PA for a week and a half. It was her first time flying and we are SO thankful she braved the airports to come be with us! Friday morning we woke up to a phone call from our neighbor who told us that 3 cars were broken into at our apartment complex - and one of the cars was ours. A couple weeks before Max was born one of my best friends, Margot, came to visit and brought a bed for Phoebe! Sarah, Phoebe, and I are proud to announce the swift and safe arrival of our son, Maxim Lane Cole. Max was born on Monday, March 2nd, at 3:33am at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital. He weighs 7lb 6oz and is 19 in tall. It was less than an hour from the time Sarah and I left our apartment and got to the hospital that Max was born. Sarah pushed for maybe 6-7 minutes and out came our precious son!

If I were given the choice to use one word to describe Phoebe, then that word would have to be precious. And even the word precious does not fully capture how precious she really is. I am so blessed to have Phoebe be a part of my life, and for me to be a part of hers. I love being a dad. :)

I think I have mentioned this before, but man! we have been getting so much rain here in LA over the last 6 months! I never saw this much rain when I was an undergrad. Sarah and I just got back from our Christmas trip to Virginia. We spent Christmas with Sarah's family and then spent a couple days in Harrisonburg. We had a great time. It was great to see friends and family, and also to get away from the city. It was nice to spend a few days in Harrisonburg and enjoy the beauty of nature all around.

The Rosemead students threw a Christmas party and we took Phoebe along. She was a hit. She had lots of fun charming everyone there. It was supposed to be a tacky christmas sweater party (you wouldn't know it from the group shots) and Levi got runner-up for his outfit.

Phoebe is adjusting to sleeping her toddler bed. She's fallen out of bed the last few nights so i tied a laundry drying rack onto the opening but she broke it. I'll have to construct something to keep her in at night. Other than that, she is loving it and doing great!

The fires are still burning strong. The one fire near us in Yorba Linda has not died down at all. Fortunately, the wind was blowing against the flames last night, therefore keeping the flames at bay. Some of you may have seen on the news that some fires have broken out in LA. The worst fire has been up in Montecito, which is northwest of LA. However, a fire just broke out this morning about 20 minutes away from us in Yorba Linda. We celebrated Halloween by going to Alphi Chi's (Biola girl's dorm) annual CANDYLAND. It is open to the public, so everyone from the community with little kids, and Biola students, go to Candyland. Phoebe took a pretty hard fall the other day at the park. She was running and fell smack on her face. She doesn’t normally cry too much when she hurts herself but she cried all the way home. I didn’t realize how hard she went down until the next day when she woke up with a swollen blue-ish nose! Poor thing! She’s a trooper.
