Rowboats

My mom just sent me this picture, which she scanned from a slide, from when I was about 5 or 6 years old. I think the picture was taken either in the beautiful town of Karuizawa, or in the town of Suzaka, the adjacent town to Nakano, where I grew up. I distinctly recall being frustrated by row boats when I was young, and they continue to drive me crazy today. Those darn things are SO STINKIN' HARD to row simultaneously and make them go where you want to go!! Anyway, I probably had not learned to be frustrated with row boats then, because I look happy. I'm sure my mom made sure that it was going where we needed to go. :)

Covenant Children

I stole the following photos from the Chase's blog. You can read Carly's blog on the baptism of Phoebe and Liam at http://mattcarly.blogspot.com/2007/10/covenant-children.html; and as she said, it was a wonderful celebration of God's precious love for His children.

We have been blessed with such precious children.

Phoebe being baptized.

And then Liam.

Could they be any cuter?!?

What I've been doing while Sarah has been gone...

So what have I, Levi, been doing the entire week Sarah has been gone in Oklahoma City? Have I been staying out late? Yes. Have I been drinking? Yes. Making the bed? HECK, NO!! Washing the dishes? wait...what dishes? Oh, that's right...because I haven't been eating much except cereal and canned beans. Yes, all of the above is true. I have been stayin out late....AT MARTINS studying my butt of for the PSYCH GRE that I have coming up on November 3rd!! Have I been drinking? YES! But mostly, coffee. Yes, this is what I have been doing while Sarah has been gone. When I have not been at work, I have been at Martin's studying for this test. It actually isn't that bad. I am what you call a "psychology nerd." Do I find reading an Intro to Psych book interesting? Absolutely! I just finished a chapter on the brain and nervous system, and even that was fascinating. Perhaps I am easily entertained since Sarah and Phoebe have been gone. I didn't think I would miss them this much. I miss them like crazy. They come home Saturday!!! BOOYAH!

Phoebe's baptism

Last Sunday we had the joy and blessing of having Phoebe being given the sign of the covenant when we she received covenental baptism. Sarah and I are so grateful for having such a wonderful daughter, and we wait in eager expectation for the day that Phoebe will personally call upon Jesus to be her Lord and Savior. Our hope and prayer for Phoebe is that she will reflect the Brightness of the glory of God and that she will bear the good news of the Gospel of Jesus wherever she goes and with whomever she comes in contact. After the church service, we were able enjoy spending time with family and friends over lunch. Matt and Carly had Liam baptized as well.

Recent life...

I apologize for not keeping this blog updated very frequently. Until we get some more consistent internet accesss, you will have to bear with us. Anyway, life has been going good recently. Phoebe has continued to grow bigger, cuter, and more expressive. She is cooing and "talking" a lot more. I think she has discovered that she can make noises. And she also smiles all the time! She is such a joy and blessing. :)
